About Beat The Scammers:
„Beat the song” is music-based game that tests both your rhytm reaction and ability to control 7 of your (probably) 10 fingers. It is harder than one would think. Tried it and failed horribly. 🙂 It could be described as a 2D Beat Saber with (very) simplified graphics and not-so-pop soundtrack, including some heavy metal songs and guitar riffs that make you feel like a proper kind of a keyboard rockstar and a member of a band called Cheap Chicony. Yes, there are few minor flaws. Some may miss achievements and cards (will be added later, devs said) or question the price tag, but for me personally it was kinda nice surprise from a small team of one guy. I didn’t expect much from a basically causal game and it actually surprised me by its difficulty, yet progress in which you improve literally with every game. If you like music, rhytm games, don’t need visual nerdgasm and hollywood style visual effects, it may be worth a try. Especially if you like things like mod support and fanbase collaboration, as it is where these indie developers obviously aim. This is a great game. There are quite a few songs, some segmented in multiple difficulty levels. You first have to beat the easy level of a song, to unlock the medium/hard version, and let me tell you, hard means freaking hard as it’s easy to get overwhelmed with a storm of notes flying down from all directions. As for controls, it seems complicated at first, but as you play, you realize it makes sense. I can’t really imagine playing this game on a gamepad, because some notes come almost at the same time, so you need more fingers ready on the keys.
