About Rise Of Nations:
Have played this on and off for many years, love it with the same love i have for age of empires. not done much multiplayer, prefer the customisable solo/random modes and campaign. not many bugs, decent graphics, plenty to do. Love that it doesnt have to always be about war too, you could relax and go for economic campaign – winning by pushing research/development stages.Very good turn based campaign game, you get to choose a popular “country” and go through the ages from Classical Age which is explorers Javelins and swords, to Information Age where it’s ICBM’s with everything in between. Even the battles and skirmishes are unique because you have a national borders which can move throughout you game. If you’re into skirmishy games with a twist, I would definitely recommend this game!My first RTS game after the complexity of learning to play them has put me off of the genre for years. I really loved learning to play it and there is enough variety in maps, settings, and types of civilizations to keep oneself entertained for many hours. Heavily recommend for those learning to play RTS games for the first time!it’s still a really good classic game. It holds up, even in some part with graphics still looking good and how air combat works. Typical bugs from this age of game. Although I would say it is a single player game now, as although there is still multiplayer “supported” and played on this game, it is. one of those communities now. Toxic af. Catch it on a sale when it’s at rock bottom like I did, then dip in from time to time. It won’t disappoint.
