About Tropical Resort Tycoon:
First of all, I want to say that the artwork is fantastic. It’s from the same illustrator of the Nekopara series, they do an amazing job. The characters are nice and the story itself is simple yet it works fine here. My problem with this game was that the gameplay is simply not fun and repetitive to an extreme. Tropical Liquor is a color-matching game that features elements from dating and management simulator. You have 29 days to form a bond with one of the girls by playing the “liquor game” and asking them questions about their tastes, age, etc. You also have to give each girl two gifts from the store. I think that Lisa likes the most expensive items so my advice is that for you to go after her after playing 1 or 2 of the other girls routes; you can carry your items and money to next playthroughs, so it’s wise to save some money for her gifts beforehand. At first I thought this was going to be a copy of HuniePop, but it’s very inferior in terms of gameplay. The liquor game is easy since you only need to memorize and match the right colors. I honestly think that even playing on the hard mode was way too easy . You can buy a few items to help and that’s it: basically just go look for the girl you want to date, wait 5 seconds for an unskippable and annoying fade out and fade in scene which appears all the damn time, ask them one of the questions that will show on screen in order to get new information, wait for another ungodly 5 seconds, invite them to have a drink, wait 5 seconds, and finally play the game. You can also choose to work (to get money) or sleep (to restore your energy). There you go, rinse and repeat. After beating the 3 levels of difficulty with each girl you’ll get a date scene and after confessing your love you’ll get that “special scene”. 4/10. If you’re only interested in enjoying the artwork and the special scenes, wait for a sale and go for it. But if you’re actually expecting something more than just anime boobs… I don’t recommend this game.
